About Us

Choco-Latte was founded in 2014 to marry two of the world's great flavors – coffee and cacao (chocolate). Two of the owners spend the winter in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. San Cristobal is in the State of Chiapas, the southwestern most state of Mexico, high in the mountains at 7,000 feet. In the lowlands surrounding the mountain, some of the finest chocolate and coffee in the world is grown by small, family owned farms. The chocolate is of the Criollo variety, widely regarded as the highest quality chocolate available.

Our goal at CHOCO-LATTE is to buy organic cacao and coffee at a fair market price direct from co-ops or the farmers themselves and bring it to you here in the United States. We will not only focus on where we are getting the chocolate and coffee but of course on how we are preparing it for you at our café. Only the highest quality equipment is used and hours of training is required of our baristas before they are ready to pull a shot of espresso for you. Eventually we hope to have 100% of our chocolate coming from Chiapas and a majority of our coffees, although we intend to continue to offer high quality gourmet coffees from around the world as well.

Chocolates

We offer our own homemade truffles and chocolates. They are high quality chocolates using ingredients that are GMO free, organic, and locally produced. We buy our cacao from co-ops or from farmers themselves and bring it from Mexico to Maine!

Available by the peice, or by boxes of 5, 18, and 24 peices. Get a saple of each or pick and choose the ones you like. We try to keep a few of our house speicalties on hand at all times but, our offerings do change seasonaly, weekly, and daily.

Sold individually or in boxes. You can pick up an assortment in boxes of 8, 15, and 28 or just grab a few to go with your moring or afternoon latte.

We always like trying to make new things but, sticking with the classics is great too. We have amazing potato candy. Mashed Maine potatoes, mixed with powdered sugar and coconut, dipped in our house blend of chocolate.

From salted caramel to home made chocolate peanut brittle there is always something to try. Milk chocolate and Matcha Green Tea anyone?

Some like it hot! We always have some spicy chocolate treats on hand. Cyan and chili have found their way into our tasty chocolates on more than one occation.
